Our Team

Tamsin and Amy first met in April 2024 and discussed creating high quality childcare; from which The Sanctuary was organically born.

Both mothers have a deep understanding of attachment theory, gentle parenting and care passionately about nurturing the next generation; all of which is brought into the day to day of The Sanctuary and all the services it provides.

Tamsin Markham-David

Tamsin brings a dynamic and extensive background in hospitality, property, and financial management, making her an ideal leader for The Sanctuary's pioneering mission. Her career is marked by a proven track record of optimizing business systems and event management, directly aligning with The Sanctuary’s objectives to support working parents and create nurturing environments for family cohesion.

Tamsin has extensive experience in event coordination, which enhances her ability to conduct impactful workshops and networking events, providing parents with opportunities to gain industry insights and develop essential skills.

Since becoming a mother Tamsin has tried many different flexible industries and roles and having worked solely online for over 5 years is in an optimal position to bring a large number of industry leaders to educate and offer opportunities to parents seeking to work differently, whether self employed or employed.

Overall, Tamsin's leadership and comprehensive skill set in managing venues, properties, finances, and people position her to drive The Sanctuary towards significant community impact and achievement of its mission.

Amy Roberts

Amy has worked as a nanny for over fifteen years and is passionate about delivering quality care that considers the needs of the family as a whole, as well as the unique needs of each individual child. She has a comprehensive approach to care which is rooted in empathy and positive progression and growth, making her an ideal leader within The Sanctuary.

In depth experience working with children, designing curriculums and tailoring schedules to suit has given her a strong ability to research, plan and organise, and has supplied a vast knowledge of various childcare approaches and educational resources.

Due to an eagerness to learn and develop skills, as well as a need to be adaptable to ever changing career opportunities, Amy has experience in working with data processing, general administration, and accounting, offering insight and relevant skills to help fuel strong foundations for Unify.

With extensive expertise in building relationships with families and professionals from a range of backgrounds, Amy is able to connect with supporters of The Sanctuary, enabling a stronger community to promote its mission.
